Sex Piston wasn’t about to apologize to anyone for her bitch attitude and certainly not the President of The Blue Horsemen, Stud. If he thinks he’s going to be able to control her and her crew then he has another thing coming. A lapse in judgment has him thinking that he’s won this battle of the sexes but a one-night stand isn’t about to bring this woman to heel.

Stud has to prove himself as the new President of the Destructors, and Sex Piston and her crew’s attitude isn’t helping. If he has to sacrifice his body to tame the bitch then that’s exactly what he’s going to do even if it means losing his heart in the battle.

I don’t know how many I’ve read Sex Piston by Jamie Begley, but each time I’ve read it I’ve learned something new about the characters, its connection with The Last Riders, and the overall storyline of the Biker Bitches series.

From previous Last Riders stories, particularly Beth, Diamond, and Lily’s stories, we saw glimpses of the Biker Bitches but only enough to have Begley’s readers clawing at their hair to finally get the full story of one or all of the Biker Bitches. For me personally the two characters I wanted to know most about were Killyama and Sex Piston, I didn’t start to want to know more about Fat Louise, Crazy Bitch, or T.A. until after we received Killyama and Sex Piston’s story. Wait, I think that I actually put my desire to read about Killyama on the back burner because Fat Louise’s story was so intriguing that I was all for her story being the second in the Biker Bitches series.

Sorry, I’ve gotten off track, Sex Piston is about the leader of the Biker Bitches. The friendship between these ladies was seriously unorthodox but its made these women tighter than cement could ever make them. In this first installment Begley really was meticulous in fleshing out the strength and flaws that make up Sex Piston and her sisters by choice, it didn’t hurt that she threw in the Destructors and Blue Horsemen to shake things up for them.

Right off the bat you can tell that Sex Piston and her crew pretty much run undisciplined within her father’s former motorcycle club, not that they are being rebellious for the kicks and giggles it’s just that the men that make up the club aren’t worth their respect and these ladies have no issue letting them know this, especially Sex Piston. Well, the Blue Horsemen aren’t putting up with it, and Stud knows that in order for the switch over of leadership of the Destructors to go smoothly he’ll need to cut the head off of the snake and the rest of the body will follow, basically he needed to make Sex Piston submit in order for the rest of the brothers to have some semblance of peace within the club. Stud soon finds out that the job is easier said than done, and plus he wasn’t expecting to find his perfect woman in Sex Piston while he was attempting to tame her, cue the melting and fanning.

The main thing that I loved about Sex Piston was how family oriented the entire book turned out to be. Every time you saw Sex Piston and the other Biker Bitches in parts of the Last Riders series nothing really personal is made known about them, but within Sex Piston it easy to see that family and sanctity of it was what kept these ladies going forward and standing strong.

About Jamie Begley

“I was born in a small town in Kentucky. My family began poor, but worked their way to owning a restaurant. My mother was one of the best cooks I have ever known, and she instilled in all her children the value of hard work, and education.

Taking after my mother, I’ve always love to cook, and became pretty good if I do say so myself. I love to experiment and my unfortunate family has suffered through many. They now have learned to steer clear of those dishes. I absolutely love the holidays and my family puts up with my zany decorations.

For now, my days are spent writing, writing, and writing. I have two children who both graduated this year from college. My daughter does my book covers, and my son just tries not to blush when someone asks him about my books.

Currently I am writing five series of books- The Last Riders, The VIP Room, Predators MC, Biker Bitches, and The Dark Souls.

All my books are written for one purpose- the enjoyment others find in them, and the expectations of my fans that inspire me to give it my best.”

Shade is everything Lily doesn't want in a man. He's rude, obnoxious and he's definitely not a cowboy. The tattooed enforcer for The Last Riders is a mystery Lily doesn't want to solve. He's too much for her to handle, especially with the nightmares from her past constantly threatening her sanity.

Lily is everything Shade wants in a woman. She's sweet, kind and submissive. When she discovers the truth about The Last Riders, it threatens to tear apart every relationship within the club. Her rebellion causes the predatory instincts to rise in the ex Navy SEAL sniper.

When The Last Riders are threatened by another motorcycle club just as determined to claim Lily, Shade is her only hope of surviving the approaching confrontation. Could their passion be Shade's downfall?

There are a few books that I can 100% claim changed my life, and Shade’s Fall by Jamie Begley has definitely done that. When I was first going through Begley’s Last Rider’s series I knew that Shade’s Fall was going to be special but I didn’t expect to find pieces of myself within the story.

The flow of Shade’s Fall and the depth of the characters Shade and Lily, made it so easy for me to fall into the rabbit hole that was their romance and life. The way Begley penned Shade’s Fall was so intrusive to these two characters that I felt that she was delving into my life as well, so there were a lot of self reflective moments as I was reading, for the first, second, and this third time. Also, while the first three stories in this series gave hints that this series is and will continue to set itself apart from other MC romance stories, Shade’s Fall really manufactured the stamp that sets this series apart from every other.

From Razer’s Ride to Knox’s Stand we were given glimpses of Shade’s obsession with Lily, as well as Lily’s fragility but determination to be able to stand on her own two feet. With these few glimpses the intensity to have their story and to yet give them time to work out every single kink that they may encounter while getting to their happy ever after was ramped up. Begley provided this need in Shade’s Fall and then some.

Shade is a very hard man to love, know, and tolerate but with his being embodying what it means to be a Dominant you can’t help but to take him as he is and to either love him or hate him. For me it was extremely easy to love him, flaws and all, because of the lengths he went to on behalf of his brothers in The Last Riders, his sister, and Lily. By employing the tactics that makes him a necessary tool for the US government Shade starts to wear Lily down but even with all his research and experience he wasn’t prepared for what her background would uncover, nor the trouble that followed her from her past.

Lily is a mystery wrapped in a barbed wired fenced in mystery. Even with 3 books proceeding Shade’s Fall, and a good portion of her background told in Razer’s Ride, none of that will prepare you for the hell she endured before she was dropped off in Treepoint, Kentucky as a child. You almost don’t want to like her character though, because her naivete is sort of off putting until you reach that point of realizing that she’s a walking, talking bleeding heart and her monstrous past made her that way.

Since Shade’s Fall is the fourth story in Begley’s Last Rider’s series, and it also acts as the climax, I feel that by going into any more detail will give something away. I advise that if this story seems interesting to you to dive into it from the very beginning but to also go in with an open mind because this series is wholly unique to the rest of the MC romance genre that has become popular and sort of repetitive.

The Porter brothers were raised to live and die by Three Rules.
One, a Porter always keeps what’s his.
Two, a Porter leaves no enemy standing.
Three…

Greer’s been searching for love in all the wrong places. He wants kids … and lots of them, so it’s time to get busy and find the lucky woman to share his bed and his life. Though there isn’t a lot to choose from in the small town of Treepoint, he has managed to narrow his choices down to three.

The strange thing is, the one he’s falling in love with remains a mystery, hiding her face and name in the messages she sends from behind her computer. The mysterious woman may dodge his questions about her identity, but it’s only a matter of time before she finds out that this Porter brother won’t back away from something he wants, and he wants her.

Come hell or high water, he will find the one who goes by KentuckyGirl and make her his, despite what anyone says, even her. And KentuckyGirl is going to find out the last Porter rule the hard way: A Porter always stands his ground and leads his prey into his waiting arms…

I might not always be in huge L O V E with every Jamie Begley book that has graced my hands, but it can’t be denied that she is one of my all-time favorite storytellers and realistic romance writers. I’ve been both dreading and anticipating Standing His Ground, which turns out to be Greer and Holly’s story, and I can wholeheartedly say that the rollercoaster of emotions was not in vain.

For the simple fact that Standing His Ground marks the umpteenth book I’ve read by Begley and have not once been able to guess the direction she would’ve taken the story leaves me both elated and frustrated, lol.

The romance between Greer and Holly went in what I feel was the only direction that would’ve made them possible as a couple. Greer was always a butthead and Holly was almost like a Willa without having the same hangups so they had a lot to navigate through. Begley stayed true to their characters but also allowed them to evolve and become better versions of themselves which I am grateful for because these two had some serious growing to do.

Standing His Ground also tied up a few loose ends, mostly pertaining to a few unsavory characters that irked my nerves, but it also gave a somewhat better glimpse into the unconventional connection The Porter Brothers have with The Last Riders.

Standing His Ground was, again, another awesome story by Begley. I wouldn’t change a thing about it regardless of the past of these characters have come from, nor the situations that encompassed their present circumstances.

Life dealt him a dead man’s hand.

Lucky had always led a life of service. Always put his life on the line for someone else, managing to survive by pure luck and skill. After bringing an end to a multi-state drug ring, he was finally able to live the life he had wanted as a Last Rider…

A good man would walk away and not touch the curvy woman who had been tugging on his heartstrings. Lucky wasn’t a good man. Therefore, the bad-ass biker in him had a choice: once again become the man he had pretended to be and stake his claim, or take the devil’s highway.

Some girls had all the luck.

Willa wasn’t one of them. All she wanted to do was give a home to the children she had made orphans. Instead, she found herself needing help from the man who had left the pulpit behind to embrace a life of sin.

Painfully shy and withdrawn she wanted a quiet life, a simple man, and well-behaved children. The last thing she had ever expected was for Lucky to want her size twenty body and show her a passion that would lead her straight to hell.

I knew that as soon as I read the prologue that I was going to need to write a review of Lucky’s Choice. Maybe I should’ve known sooner since I’ve been waiting for Lucky’s book since Razor’s Ride. To be honest the ‘when’ of knowing I would needs to speak about my thoughts on this book, is not so much important as the ‘why.’

What was it about Lucky’s Choice that impacted me so much that I had to put my thoughts on paper and computer screens?

Outside of Shade, Lucky was the most mysterious brother of the Last Riders that I have been chomping at the bit to know more about. Clues were dropped here and there but never so much that we got a look into the inner working of who he was.

Willa on the other hand was practically an open book with her transparency. She wore her heart on her sleeve and I loved her character for it. There was a freshness, purity, in her open honesty. She was better in her ability to commit selfless acts towards others or taking care of others needs before they manifested into a persons life than both Beth and Lily put together. She was so fiercely loyal that it was no shocker the way Shade’s and her relationship blossomed as it did, yes I did say Shade. Outside of the Biker Bitches, Willa was one of my favorite heroines in this world that Jamie Begley has created. The depth to her character shocked me and blew me away at the same time, it also left me on the edge of my seat in anticipation of what she could possibly say or do next.

Out of all the books in this series, The Predators, and the Biker Bitches, I have never, never, wanted to put a book down more than this one, and at only 26% into it! I wanted to jump through my device and ring the hellions that Willa took custody over, Lucky’s, Bliss’, and Jenna’s, neck until they were purple in the face! I wanted to sic Killyama on all of them.Whew! It felt good to get that out as well as calling Lucky a very bad name on Facebook.

After posting that bad word on Facebook I felt bad afterward because if I’d just waited a few chapters I would’ve been ready to declare my love to Lucky. Oh, if I’d just waited I wouldn’t have felt like I betrayed my love for him and the future babies we would have had if Willa wasn’t his soul mate.

Just a word to the wise, if you’re expecting Lucky’s Choice to be like the other Last Riders stories, or even like Shade’s because of the similarity in their lengths, you might end up having reactions such as, ‘what the heck just happened?!’ or ‘what the heck is happening?!’ Basically the same reaction. I will advise you to just go in with your love for Lucky and your understanding that he is human and that there will be mistakes made to guide you through these pages and you should be okay. Maybe by doing this it will save you from possibly throwing your device, yelling at your significant other if they have a penis, or yelling at your reading device.

Lucky’s Choice had all the feel. It was hands down one of the best books I’d read so far in 2015. If you haven’t read anything by this author featuring these men you are missing out on a reading world that will have you coming back for more and spending hours talking to fans of Jamie Begley, about certain scenes, characters, and predictions. These books and this author are a favorite and auto-buy of mine for a reason.

Lucky! I want to eat you up like the marshmallows out of a Lucky Charm’s box. Freaking yum!
