Fifty Shades Darker (Movie Review)

When the news of Fifty Shades Darker going into production I toyed with the idea of reading Fifty Shades Darker before going to see the movie. I also had plans, after I finished watching and reading Fifty Shades of Grey, to also continue on to reading Fifty Shades Darker but that never happened either lol. But I said all of that to let y’all know that I don’t have any pieces of the actual book story to compare to Fifty Shades Darker so keep that in mind as you’re reading this review. After agonizing over how Fifty Shades of Grey (both book and movie) ended I needed Fifty Shades Darker to give me life and provide me with a competent continuation to Ana and Christian’s story. I pleases my heart something fierce to know that not only did they fulfill my only hope in going to watch the movie, but it […]

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter // Movie Review

I will say that when I walked into the movie theater, I didn’t know what to expect. I vaguely remember the Resident Evils before Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, I think it was the one where they went to Tokyo, but not enough that I could tell you how certain people died or what happened to them. Resident Evil: The Final Chapter was a great conclusion to the franchise. All the unanswered questions from the first movie and on were answered, and even with 6 movies in (right?) I am still able to be shocked. Maybe it’s been a while, but from the beginning of Resident Evil: The Final Chapter I found myself jumping in fright. I shouldn’t really be shocked because in every Resident Evil movie I always find myself frightened. Zombies just freak me out lol. Even though I’ve enjoyed every Resident Evil, that I can remember, I […]

Anticipation Thursday // 2017 Movie Releases (1)

Here I am with another feature that I just plucked from my creativity vault and I think like the FCF (favorite cover Friday) feature this one will stick as well. What Anticipation Thursday will focus on (even though the title is pretty much self explanatory) is anything dealing with new releases whether they are tv shows, movies, books, music, or game systems/games. Also, if you follow me on my YouTube channel you would have noticed that I post trailer reactions there and the 2 trailer reactions that I’ve done so far are of movies that haven’t come out yet (thank goodness or this post would be semi-unnecessary lol). ***** The first movie release that I am so excited to watch is Fate of the Furious, the 8th movie in the Fast and Furious franchise. Now, I was one of the ones who thought that this franchise should’ve ended with Fast […]

Movie Review: The Magnificent Seven

The Magnificent Seven Why Did I Want to Watch The Magnificent Seven? Hmm…Let me name off just a few things Denzel Washington is riding a horse and is dressed up as a cowboy Chris Pratt is riding a horse and is dressed up as a cowboy Byung-hun Lee is riding a horse and dressed up as a cowboy Martin Sensmeier is playing a Native American and is freaking badass while doing it The Magnificent Seven is about cowboys and heroes Denzel Washington and Chris Pratt is in it I think I ticked off all the things that made me want to watch The Magnificent Seven, let me know if I forgot anything. What Did I Think of The Magnificent Seven? The beginning started off somewhat slow for me. The backstory was given almost immediately, which I was grateful for, but the introduction of Denzel Washington’s character and Chris Pratt’s character […]

Movie Review: Suicide Squad

Movie Reviewed: Suicide Squad Why Did I Want to Watch Suicide Squad? The freaking trailers looked so badass Margot Robbie looked amazing as Harley Quinn, and after The Legend of Tarzan and I am a fan of hers for LIFE Will Smith is in it Viola Davis is in it It’s a comic book movie I hoped it would be better than Batman v. Superman This is the most important one…Jared Leto is playing the Joker!!!!!!!! What Did I Think of Suicide Squad? The first time I watched it, I loved it and had a serious movie hangover. Suicide Squad was on my mind from the moment I left the movie theater until I watched it again the following Monday (2 days after I watched it the first time). The Joker and Harley Quinn’s relationship enchanted me and while I know there are different portrayals of their relationship (one where’s he’s […]

Movie Review: The Legend of Tarzan

Announcement: I have watched The Legend of Tarzan 3 times, three, so don’t be alarmed by the amount of times I talk about a section(s) of the movie. Why Did I Want to Watch The Legend of Tarzan? It was first and foremost because of Alexander Skarsgard, that man is FINE🔥. I started watching True Blood recently because (1) I was entertaining thoughts of rereading and finishing the Sookie Stackhouse series, and (2) Alexander Skarsgard played Eric – who also happened to be my favorite character in the Sookie Stackhouse series. With Skarsgard playing Tarzan being one of the first reasons I wanted to watch The Legend of Tarzan, that motivation shifted slightly to the left when the heart in my eyes fell away and I realized that I especially wanted to watch The Legend of Tarzan because Tarzan was one of my favorite Disney movies, and I couldn’t wait to watch the story and […]

Movie Review: Batman vs. Superman

Some behind the scene facts before I jump into my review of Batman vs Superman: I’ve never read a comic book about either one of these characters, neither about any other DC comic book character, therefore I have nothing to match or validate the certain details of Batman vs. Superman that I’m going to talk about. I have, however, watched a few DC cartoons, Justice League and the like and other movie adaptations, so I have an idea of the background of Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and Lex Luther. ***** Batman vs. Superman came out three weekends ago, and three days ago (April 13th) I bought my matinee ticket partially for the heck of it, and partially to see what all the talk concerning whether this version of Batman was an adequate adaptation. Boy, did I have my eyes opened and I kind of wished I’d kept them shut! If I were to rate this movie as I would […]
