Series: Rock Chick

Stella’s the lead singer and lead guitarist of the Blue Moon Gypsies and Stella used to be Mace’s girl. Mace broke up with her though and the loss of him rocked her world. But Stella gets a call, late at night (again) from one of the members of her crazy band. She has to go play clean up (again) and runs into Mace (and a shed load of police) and ends up getting shot.
Mace finds he doesn’t like it much that his ex-girlfriend got shot, right in front of him but it’s worse. A very bad man has thrown down the gauntlet and ALL the Rock Chicks are in the firing line. Stella doesn’t want Mace to be the one to keep her alive but she has no choice… mainly because Mace isn’t giving her one.
Yes! Yes! Finally! Kristen Ashley must have known my concerns about Rock Chick Revenge before I did because in Rock Chick Reckoning everyone and everything was on point.
Going into to Rock Chick Reckoning I thought that Stella and Mace would follow the same M.O. that a few of the couples in the previous Rock Chick books went through before they became ‘couples,’ but that was not the case. After reading the synopsis I also thought that we would be led up to the drama described not jump right into it with guns blazing. The one thing that I did know was that right off the bat from the concert scene in Rock Chick Revenge, that Stella and Mace’s story in Rock Chick Reckoning was going to be explosive, and that hunch was not wrong.
The crazy thing was that while I expected an explosive romance between Mace and Stella, I didn’t expect that showdown that was to take place in Denver that brought danger to the Rock Chicks and their Hot Guys. The action and suspense was so freaking intense in Rock Chick Reckoning that I even had thoughts that maybe we’d end up losing one of the favorites out of the bunch since there were so many close calls. Talk about sitting on the edge of your seat!
Such a great story in Rock Chick Reckoning.
