Still raw from being burned by a dominant female, wolf changeling Felix will never again risk being a plaything. But for dominant leopard Dezi, he’s the most fascinating man she’s ever met. She just has to convince this gun-shy wolf that he can trust the dangerous cat who wants to take a slow, sexy bite out of him…
Oh I was not expecting the Psy-Changeling series to go in the direction it did with Partners in Persuasion (Wild Embrace)! Talk about a switch up in the modus operandi.
Partners in Persuasion (Wild Embrace) is once again a testament to Nalini Singh’s determination to always think outside of the box. A submissive male wolf and a dominant female leopard, who would’ve thunk?! Heck, who would’ve thought that I would’ve loved their story so much?!
We were first introduced to Felix I think in Kiss of Snow, or maybe it was Tangle of Need. Anyway, Felix headed the replanting of the land where Sienna’s X-Fire did some serious damage. It was in his working on that section of Snow Dancer territory where he first met – although he was too shy to ever say anything – Dezi, the Dark River solider who was on rotation for perimeter watch.
It’s within this setting, where life is being reborn after tragedy has struck, that these two, both so well matched, come together in a way that just embodies the phrase ‘the calm after the storm.’
